iPhone 6 Touch Screen Issues

iPhone 6 Touch Screen Issues

If you use an iPhone 6 or 6+ you may have noticed that more and more people are experiencing touch screen issues.

Like me your hoping your iPhone will remain unaffected of the dangerously named “Touch Disease”.

With a small percentage of iPhone 6 & 6+ being affected the chances are your phone may be ok but a small percent still amounts to thousands of iPhone’s. The exact numbers are still not clear but recently the touch disease has taken over as the iPhone’s biggest issues customers are complaining about.

Currently Apple are staying quiet on the issue, which is not helping their problem. People are now banding together and a class action against Apple has been filed in both California and Canada.

Major symptoms are a grey bar across the top of the screen, which can lead to screen flickering and the iPhone screen becoming completely unresponsive.

Some people are putting the issue down to the phone being bent and contacts inside the phone are failing internally. This is possibly why the iPhone 6+ is most affected.

Repair or Replace?

If the above works, great but chances are it wont

If your iPhone is out of warranty a standard out of warranty replacement can be taken. Generally this will cost $469AUD for an iPhone 6 and $519AUD for an iPhone 6+. You can get a refurbished model but you will be subjecting yourself to the same issues down the track.

Make sure you do a complete iPhone backup before attempting to get your iPhone replaced or repaired.

Before doing anything get in contact with Apple and find out where you stand and what they can do for you?
